shades on. sunroof open. music up.

so anybody else downloaded the hipstamatic app for iphone?

love it, like major. totally makes my otherwise-pathetic phone photos look like something at least blog-worthy.

score.

anyhow.

i really wish i had something share-worthy for you tonight but i'm totally fried, save for the lime green, mile-long-and-mounting to-do list staring at me from my otherwise-cute giraffe print day planner.

(anybody else on adjective overload?! forgive me - it's our language arts focus this week. i'm a walking, talking, noun-describing machine. --- oops. did it again. ignore me, y'all. my sanity has left the building.)

knowing that the last big push to spring break (9 more school days. dear Lord, please see us through. {read: please let me not run out of bubble gum to smack or sonic peppermints to crack instead of being smart-a with the children.} amen.) would be a total killer (truth!), i took the opportunity this weekend to soak up a little me time.

hubby had to work the whole time, and while i hate it for him, i'd be lying if i didn't say i enjoyed a few hours here and there to do whatever. i. wanted.

the next few photos pretty much sum it up.

shades on. sunroof open. music up.

i didn't realize how much i needed to decompress until i got the chance to do it.

please don't misunderstand me - i cherish the sweet man, wild little woman and two four-legged children that are my world, but ignoring my own mental health doesn't do any of us any favors.

anybody remember that old adage if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy? too true, y'all. too true.

i got my toes did (yes, i say it that way in real life too. judge away.) for the first time since september (no judging there - it's too pathetic.), drank more diet dr. pepper than can possibly be healthy, and spent a little time wandering around target. heaven.

my most treasured find of the weekend was new eyeliner. trashy or not, i can't get enough of black eyeliner. just thick and smudged enough to attract a little attention, but not thick enough to start attracting dollar bills.

sorry, y'all. gotta keep it real.

and with that little nugget, i believe i'll leave you and head to bed before midnight for the first time since i can remember.

i'll also leave you with this hipstamatic-ed photo of one of the paintings behind our bed - i thought it was fun.

love & there's 3 minutes of your life you'll never get back,
